I’m delighted to be co-authoring a short opinion piece with Kalliope Fouseki (UCL) for the upcoming Museums Etc.. publication ‘Museum Participation: Engaging and Involving Audiences’.
The editors Kayte McSweeney and Jennifer Kavanagh have encouraged us to seek the opinions of DHG.
As such, we would like to invite you (DHG and interested parties) to participate in an anonymous, online survey, which aims to explore participatory practices in museums and heritage organisations.
The results may also be used in our ongoing monitoring and may help us to identify research needs of the sector and inform future publications and bids.
Your responses will be confidential and no identifying information such as your name, email address or IP address will be collected.
If you decide to participate in this survey, you may withdraw at any time during the survey and your response will not be included. After the survey is completed it will not be possible to identify a person’s data for withdrawal.
This piece of research complies with the research ethics guidelines of the University College London.
Completing the survey should take around 10 minutes.
The questions refer to ‘your organisation’.
- If you have left an organisation within the last 3 years then you are eligible to answer referring to the time you were there.
- If you are a freelancer or consultant and have undertaken a long-term contract of 12 months or more then are eligible to answer for that organisation.
If you have any questions about the research study, please contact us here.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.
